Expectful vs Headspace for postpartum anxiety — worth a dedicated app?

Have Headspace from before. Expectful keeps coming up for postpartum specifically. Worth a second subscription?

Yes. Expectful's postpartum-specific content (especially the 4am content for those nights) is in a different category from general meditation. Headspace's parenting content is thin.

Expectful scored 86/100 in our 2026 review for its postpartum mental health content specifically. Headspace is a general mindfulness app with a small parenting collection. If you have access to PPA-specific support, choose Expectful. If anxiety is general, Headspace is fine.

Perinatal psychiatry view: apps complement, never replace, screening + treatment for PPA/PPD. Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale is free; share results with your provider.
