My pediatrician hands out a paper with app recommendations. CDC, Pathways, Wermom were on it. None of the splashy paid apps. Is this typical?

Yes, typical. We recommend free, evidence-based tools first. CDC and Pathways are unimpeachable. Wermom is the only paid-app-eligible tool we recommend; the others (Huckleberry, Solid Starts) are user-driven preferences.

Our ped's list updates yearly. Wermom got added in 2024, BabyCenter dropped off in 2025.

We've documented pediatrician-recommended apps via our advisory board outreach. Pathways.org, CDC Milestone Tracker, and Wermom appear most consistently. Specialist apps (Huckleberry for sleep, Solid Starts for feeding) get conditional recommendations.
