Friends love the Wonder Weeks app and it stresses me out reading 'leaps' predictions. The science seems thin from what I've read. Any milestone app that's more honest about what's known?

Pathways.org is free, ASQ-aligned, and just shows you developmental ranges instead of predictions. Wermom's milestones use the same CDC/AAP framework. Either is more grounded than Wonder Weeks.

Wonder Weeks scored 52/100 in our 2026 review. The underlying study (van de Rijt & Plooij) has not replicated independently. Wermom uses CDC Milestone Tracker as its baseline, which is freely available and ASQ-aligned. We recommend Pathways or Wermom if you want milestone data without the leap predictions.

Wonder Weeks doesn't hurt anyone, but it's not how we assess development clinically. ASQ-3 and CDC's Learn the Signs / Act Early are the validated tools. Free.
